Every March during Northwestern's spring break, NUCHR takes passionate students on an experiential trip in search of alternative perspectives and deeper understandings of that year's conference topic. The trip also serves to strengthen relationships between club members and engage with human rights work being done globally. Participants submit their applications during late fall quarter and should show dedicated interest in human rights issues. We are typically able to provide heavily subsidized scholarships for eligible students to help cover the cost of the trip. International destinations from recent years have included the Dominican Republic, Turkey, Nicaragua, and Argentina. Recent domestic destinations have included New York and Washington D.C.
2018 will feature an international trip examining memory, legacy, and informed activism. Stay tuned for the destination announcement and the release of participant applications.
